Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:1-2 years of applicable medical/surgical experience (note: candidates with less experience may be considered). Ability to work in a fast paced, highly stressful environment. PLEASE NOTE: This posting is scheduled to close at 23:59 of the posting end date but may be filled earlier under LOU #20 if a Regular Employee who holds a regular position within the unit expresses their interest in this vacancy by 23:59 on the 5th calendar day following the posting date. Preferred Qualifications:Recent experience in a large urban ED. Advanced practice courses (ACLS, PALS, etc.). CLPNA Restricted Activities Modules: Administering Diagnostic Imaging Contrast Agents, Fetal Heart Monitoring, Non-Ionizing Radiation, Administering Blood and Blood Products: Transfusion, Dispending of Medications and Immunization preferred (required upon hire). Intravenous (IV) certification preferred (required upon hire).
