Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Proven excellent assessment skills. Proven ability to work independently in a fast paced area. Experience working to full scope of practice. Ability to provide patient teaching in collaboration with the endoscopists ensuring patients are well prepared for procedure and ensuring safe patient discharge. Ability to stand for long periods of time and ability to assist with repositioning and transferring of the sedated patient. Minimum of 3 years working in medicine or surgery in an acute care facility.
Preferred Qualifications:Post procedural sedation experience preferred. Previous airway management skills.
