Your Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity for additional income as a Laundry Worker? Do you have professional laundry experience or a desire to learn? This position is at the Banff Mineral Springs Hospital. The Laundry Services department in this multi-service facility makes a difference every day in the lives of over 40 patients and long-term care residents by providing stocking cleaning linen, collecting soiled linen, processing residents’ personal laundry, monitoring amounts of linen used and placing online laundry orders. As a casual employee, you can take shifts around your schedule, allowing you the freedom to set your own work-life balance. Our shifts are Monday to Saturday starting at 07:00 and ending in the early afternoon, shifts time vary. Please note: Classifications Under Review.

Description: The Laundry Worker II gathers, sorts, processes, repairs, presses, stacks and/or stores linens and garments. The work includes the transportation of clean and soiled linen and the use of washing and drying equipment. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE General Support Services Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications: Completion of Grade 10 or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Ability to read, write, speak and understand English; required. Proficient computer skills; required. Frequently required to lift weights up to 30 pounds (13.6 kg). Must possess strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work quickly and accurately under deadlines. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to follow directions and guidelines. High standards for cleanliness and sanitation. Demonstrates high levels of honesty and integrity. Must be able to work in a busy and fast paced environment. Able to provide a clean Criminal Record Check.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with industrial laundry equipment; desired. WHMIS training.
