Required Qualifications:

Completion of Baccalaureate degree in a Business or related discipline. Other post-secondary education with a recognized Human Resource Management Diploma or Certificate, required. A combination of education and experience may be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Ability to handle highly confidential/sensitive issues, and emotional circumstances tactfully and diplomatically. Ability to diplomatically handle numerous competing priorities. Must be professional in approach to demands, inclusive of occasional flexibility as to hours of work. Knowledge of collective agreements, and related legislation (e.g., Employment Standards, Human Rights, Duty to Accommodate, Essential Services, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP), etc.). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to analyze and articulate complex concepts in a timely manner. Computer literacy including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook and the Internet. Strong conflict resolution, negotiation and group facilitation skills. Must be able to travel province wide, between sites. Must possess strong leadership, problem solving and decision-making skills. Building consensus within a diverse group of stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications:

Canadian Human Resource Professional (CHRP) designation and membership with Human Resource Institute of Alberta preferred. Minimum of five (5) years to eight (8) years at the Advisor level or above. Supervisory/management experience, preferred. Experience in a unionized environment is required and within healthcare is preferred.
