Post secondary Accounting degree with a major in Commerce/Business required. Accounting Designation; CPA/CA/CMA/CGA required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of computer software applications including: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required. Knowledge of Oracle and Oracle Fixed Assets desired. Team-oriented approach to work and the ability to respond and communicate with all levels of internal staff and external personnel required. Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize required. Ability to work independently and to meet tight regular deadlines required. Ability to handle inquiries, correspondence and assignments with the highest level of professionalism and strict confidentiality of all sensitive information required. Ability to compose adhoc reports; summarized and/or detailed from numerous types of internal and external inquiries for review essential. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles for not-for-profit organizations required. Must have demonstrated confidence and ability to communicate and work effectively at management level with internal and external parties. Supervisory and team building skills for staff and the ability to effectively manage external resources. Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within a large, diverse organization. Ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of 5-6 years experience in an accounting setting. Experience in preparing cash forecasts and cash flow analyses. Experience in not-for-profit capital accounting desired. Experience in health care sector desired.
