Your Opportunity:
Under the limited supervision of the Corporate Director, Budgeting and Forecasting, acting as a key member of the Financial Planning team, the Manager, Business Support provides exceptional customer service and serves as a trusted financial advisor. This role delivers strategic financial support including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting that enables leaders to make informed decisions aligned with Covenant Health’s strategic objectives. This individual acts as the primary financial liaison offering clear, insightful, and proactive financial guidance to various levels of leadership. Responsibilities include analyzing financial and statistical data; delivering meaningful reporting; supporting operational decision making; collaborating with internal and external partners. This position provides responsive, customer focused financial assistance and advisory services to operational leaders. Duties include: Delivering detailed reviews and customer focused explanations of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results. Build financial literacy for non-financial leaders, including training on financial applications, interpreting financial dashboards, understanding financial processes, and performing variance analysis. Conducting comprehensive activity and variance analysis using financial and statistical data. Ensure accurate monthly adjustments, accruals, and reporting. Lead budgeting, cost benefit analysis, financial modeling, savings initiatives, and operational planning. Maintain operational budget to support effective planning, reliable reporting, and timely decision making. Support financial analysis for new programs, enhancements, and funding submissions, ensuring alignment with activity targets and strategic priorities. Leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing Financial Advisors and Program Assistants.

Bachelor's degree in a business program required. Completion of a recognized financial program (CPA) desired. Combination of a business-related diploma plus an accounting experience considered. Minimum three to four years progressive experience with budgeting and financial analysis required. Must possess a high commitment to providing quality customer service. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent analytical skills. Creative, innovative, and committed to a team environment. High proficiency with use of computers and software, including Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as accounting or budgeting software. Knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion and PowerBI is considered an asset. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Strong knowledge of financial and statistical methodologies and practices.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Experience within health care is an asset.
