We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to take on the role of Manager for Nutrition Food Linen Environmental Services at Covenant. This is an exciting opportunity to provide leadership and oversight across two Continuing Care sites, ensuring the effective and efficient operation of these essential service areas. The NFLES Manager plays a key role in supporting Covenant’s Mission, Vision, Values, and Strategic Directions by leading the delivery of high-quality Food Services, Environmental Services, and Laundry Services. You will have the opportunity to drive service excellence through strong administration, effective staffing and scheduling, positive resident and family relations, and the supervision of daily operations, while ensuring cost-effective and standards-based service delivery. Description:

Provide leadership and oversight of NFLES operations across assigned sites. Manage staffing, scheduling, performance, and employee development. Support and monitors to ensure service quality, contract compliance, and performance expectations are met. Ensure compliance with infection prevention, occupational health and safety, and regulatory standards. Develop and manage budgets, optimizing resources to support service excellence. Lead quality improvement initiatives and address risks or service concerns. Foster positive resident, family, and staff experiences. Collaborate with clinical leaders, contractors, and stakeholders to align services with care needs.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in food science, nutrition, or a related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years’ leadership experience in NFLES or related support services. Minimum 3 years’ leadership experience in a healthcare environment. Experience in a unionized environment is considered an asset.


Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to lead large, multi-disciplinary teams. Experience managing service performance and driving operational excellence. Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives. Understanding of the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
