Completion of Baccalaureate degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Equivalencies will be considered. Minimum of five (5) years to eight (8) years at the Advisor level, including progressive supervisory/management experience, required. Experience in a unionized environment is required and within healthcare is preferred.

Knowledge of collective agreements, and related legislation (e.g., Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP), Employee Standards). Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and listening skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively in a co-operative, respectful, and sensitive manner with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to handle concerns and investigations while maintaining discretion, diplomacy and tact.
