Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Director, Talent, Learning & Organizational Development, the Manager of Talent Management is accountable for leading the Talent Management team that will design and deliver leadership and talent management programs, process and practices required to attract, select, retain, motivate and develop people. The Manager will partner with other HR leaders to align with attraction & reward strategies, and utilize talent analytics to determine risk and potential talent gaps. The leader will provide deep expertise in talent management strategy, particularly in leadership development and leading edge succession planning methodologies and supporting technology. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring Talent Management services are carried out in a manner that is consistent with Covenant Health’s Mission, Values and Ethical guidelines. Travel is required, and may include the use of a personal vehicle. A standard driver’s abstract may also be required for use of corporate lease vehicles.


Talent Management Strategy Leadership. Promotes and informs a shared vision and strategy for Talent Management services for the organization. Working collaboratively with the Organizational Development & Learning teams. Creates, operationalizes and monitors department work plans. Conduct an environmental scan to identify global trends and gaps related to succession planning, organization robustness and talent development in order to recommend and implement strategies and development programs to strengthen individual, team and company performance. Provide consulting services and coaching to leaders in the areas of competency development, performance development, succession planning, and leadership growth. Facilitates talent review processes and succession planning conversations with leadership. Owns the LEADS competency framework implementation and Leadership Pathways including overseeing curriculum development, processes, technology, tools & metrics that support our talent strategy. Stays current on talent management & related industry trends, new technology, and approaches. Selects, develops, coaches and manages performance of team members. Monitors unit/project budgets and provide accurate forecasting regarding learning deliverables.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years’ experience in leading Talent Management function or related area in a large organization. 5 years’ experience in providing comprehensive talent development, leadership development, and succession planning consultation and services in complex organizations. Solid business acumen with ability to think strategically. Excellent critical thinking and problem solving abilities. Solid team leadership and business partnering track record. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Proven project management, group facilitation, presentation, oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating tact and diplomacy. Expert knowledge in organization design principles, talent & leadership development, & succession planning processes. Strong consultancy skills, continual attention to the potential effects of the internal consultation role on objectivity, and the courage to advocate for client needs in the face of conflicting organizational decisions and plans.
