Your Opportunity:
This position is being posted under a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Developmental Role designation. The successful candidate will be required to attain mandatory completion of a recognized MDRD Technician Course and followed by Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Certification. Once Certification is obtained (within 6 months after hire) the successful applicant will be transferred to a Certified Medical Device Reprocessing Technician designation. Description: The Medical Device Reprocessing Technician works under close supervision in the decontamination, reprocessing, and distribution of a variety of sterile and non-sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA General Support Services Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications: Enrolment in education component of a Medical Device Reprocessing Program or completing practical hours is required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of a recognized MDRD Technician Course and followed by Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Certification is mandatory and will be discussed upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience working within an MDRD or Health Sector. Proficient in computer applications.
