Your Opportunity:
This position provides an opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment that is paced to develop skills and efficiency. Candidate will be able to do OR cases as well as mobile x-rays and the new ED General Xray at MCH. This rotation in every weekend evenings and Stat holidays. This provides your ability to pick up shifts throughout the week or pursue other interests M-F. The weekend shift differential is also applicable and adds a consideration for the off shifts. This is a permanent position that offers benefits and other offerings belonging to HSAA members.

Description: The Medical Radiation Technologist I (MRT) performs all routine radiographic/fluoroscopic, computed tomography and interventional procedures. The MRT I also produces radiographs of high diagnostic quality in an efficient and safe manner while attending to the diagnostic and care needs of patients undergoing diagnostic/therapeutic procedures. The MRT I is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Radiological Technology program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) required. BLS (Level C - Health Care Provider) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Reliable, positive attitude and able to handle the physical demands that this position requires.
Preferred Qualifications:2 years recent experience in an acute hospital setting.
