Your Opportunity:
Join a dynamic Xray dept and work in the newest ED dept in the city. This position is for Night rotation. 7 on 7 off. This allows you to work independently and with other staff in the ED dept. You will also expand your CT experience by doing non injection CT scans. This is a busy department, and you can become very efficient. Shift differential premium is added to your regular hourly wage.

Description: The Medical Radiation Technologist I (MRT) performs all routine radiographic/fluoroscopic, computed tomography and interventional procedures. The MRT I also produces radiographs of high diagnostic quality in an efficient and safe manner while attending to the diagnostic and care needs of patients undergoing diagnostic/therapeutic procedures. The MRT I is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Radiological Technology program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) required. BLS (Level C - Health Care Provider) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Reliable, positive attitude and ability to withstand pressure from the Emergency needs. Must be organized and able to use critical thinking. This job is physical in nature and requires you to be fit and motivated.
Preferred Qualifications:1 year recent experience in an Acute hospital setting.
