We perform general X-ray, mobile X-ray and limited fluoroscopy procedures including Video Fluoroscopy Swallowing studies. This position will require some on call shifts and we have sleep rooms available on site to accommodate staff that are not located within 20 minutes of the hospital. Description: The Medical Radiation Technologist I (MRT) performs all routine radiographic/fluoroscopic, computed tomography and interventional procedures. The MRT I also produces radiographs of high diagnostic quality in an efficient and safe manner while attending to the diagnostic and care needs of patients undergoing diagnostic/therapeutic procedures. The MRT I is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Radiological Technology program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) required. BLS (Level C - Health Care Provider) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Alternative to MRT, Graduate of a CLXT program with active registration with Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT). Experience with Connect Care. Experience with Provincial Enterprise Imaging. Experience with Fluoroscopy - specifically Video Fluoroscopy Swallowing Studies. Experience working in a Rural Acute Care facility.
Preferred Qualifications:As required.
