Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or recognized equivalent required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Must have successfully completed a course in Medical Terminology. Candidates with directly related training in word processing or transcription are required. Must have two to three years of directly related experience. Candidates will be required to achieve at least 60 words per minute on a timed keyboarding test and a Medical terminology test with 80% being the passing mark.

Preferred Qualifications:

Must have good customer service skills. Must have good interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate clearly; verbally and in writing. Must be committed to accuracy and capable of dealing with many interruptions.
