Completion of a recognized Nurse Practitioner Program in the Neonatal stream. Active or eligible for registration as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta with practice permit indicating Child Population (Neonatal) stream of practice. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for ensuring that his/her registration is current and valid. A minimum of 3 years current NICU experience. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Provider. Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Commitment to Covenant Health Vision, Mission, and Values.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team. Ability to function independently. Application and knowledge of current research. Ongoing interest in research. Experience in a wide range of assessment, treatment and therapeutic interventions, health promotion, diagnostic procedures, and follow-up care in the community. Must understand and practice within full scope of their knowledge in an interdisciplinary team environment.
