Required Qualifications:

Registered Nurse Diploma required, Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred. Occupational Health Nursing Certificate required. Minimum 3 to 5 years recent experience in Occupational Health Nurse setting. Current license and registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) required. Current First Aid and CPR required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Sound knowledge base in Occupational Health and Safety practices. Good understanding of trends and issues in Occupational Health and Safety sector. Excellent assessment skills. Must be self directed, self motivated, and possess strong problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision making skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel in a windows environment. Receptive to change and able to prioritize in a fast moving environment. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Hospital Occupational Health Nurse experience desired. Previous experience with delivery of adult education/training an asset. Membership with Alberta Occupational Health Nurses Association an asset. Membership in National Occupational Nurses Association an asset.
