Minimum 3 to 5 years recent experience in Occupational Health Nurse setting and injury/illness case adjudication and return to work planning. Must be self-directed, self-motivated, and possess strong problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel in a windows environment. Receptive to change and able to prioritize in a fast-moving environment. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Extensive experience with Cority software.
Additional Required Qualifications:Occupational Health Nurse experience and/or experience with infection control principles. Previous experience with immunizations and TST’s. Application of legislation / best practices as it relates to occupational health in the health care sector. Sound knowledge base in Occupational Health and Safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications:Membership with Alberta Occupational Health Nurses Association or other occupational health association and hold a national occupational health nurse credential. Organizational and time management skills are required for this role. Ability to use critical thinking skills to navigate case management scenarios, professional communication skills, and technology.
