Required Qualifications:

Graduate of an Occupational Therapy program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Superior interpersonal skills. Excellent critical thinking skills. Excellent communications skills in both verbal and written mediums. Effective problem solving skills including analytical thinking and conflict resolution reasoning. Superior time management, planning and organizational skills. Able to work independently. Committed to displaying collaboration on an interdisciplinary team. Eligible for registration with the ACOT (Alberta College of Occupational Therapists). Must be currently or be willing to become a registered authorizer with Alberta Aids to Daily Living. Proficient English required. Effective problem solving skills including analytical thinking and conflict resolution reasoning. Ability to use computer programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year previous experience as an OT in a continuing care/rehabilitation setting preferred. Working knowledge of RAI/MDS 2.0 preferred.
