Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduate of a Perioperative Nursing program for LPN's required. Three months of recent Operating Room experience required within the past two years. Ability to perform consistently in a highly organized and rapid moving environment. Ability to collaborate within the expectations of an integrated team. Ability to stand scrubbed for many hours and to meet the physical demands of the position. Ability to demonstrate communications skills that promote respect and a positive team environment. Demonstrates advanced problem-solving skills integrating critical thinking and good judgment. Incumbent should have effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Computer skills including experience in Microsoft Outlook email and VAX is an asset. At least two year’s operating room experience an asset.
