Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduate of a Perioperative Nursing program for LPNs required. Must be able to lift 25lbs and have the physical ability to push, pull, bend, and stand for prolonged periods of time (in excess of 30 minutes). Excellent interpersonal/communication skills both spoken and written. Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills. Excellent assessment and organizational skills. Ability to collaborate within the expectations of an integrated team.
Preferred Qualifications:At least 2 years recent (within the last 3 years) operating room experience. Computer skills including experience with electronic charting. Ability to perform consistently in a highly organized and rapid moving environment
