Description:

The Pharmacist I is responsible for the provision of safe, effective, and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. The Pharmacist I manages medication therapy and intervenes as required to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

Graduate of a Pharmacy program or recognized equivalent required. Active license with the Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP) required. Additional prescribing authorization as a requirement within 18 months of hire required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Prior experience working as a clinical pharmacist in the neonatal intensive care unit at an acute care hospital. Requires additional prescribing authority prior to starting position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience working in general surgery at an acute care hospital. Pharm D or Residency preferred.
