Description: The Physical Therapist II (PT) is responsible for providing leadership and functional supervision through the coordination of the day to day operations to their assigned team. The PT II facilitates the development of professional skills in their team, participates in program development and operational planning, and acts as a communication liaison between team and management. Provides direct patient care, working as part of an interprofessional leadership team. The PT II is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Physical Therapy program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with Physiotherapy Alberta College and Association required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in an adult inpatient acute care setting. Experience working in a leadership role or demonstrate of leadership skills in practice. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstration of strong clinical reasoning is required. Experience working within a collaborative interdisciplinary team is required.
