Required Qualifications:

Must have at least two years directly related experience administering disability claims. Must have knowledge of Human Rights legislation, Duty to Accommodate and Workers’ Compensation policies. Knowledge of short and long term disability policies, procedures and legislation. Strong computer literacy in Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, HR information systems and reporting programs is required. Ability to maintain internal and external relationships. Excellent customer service and inter-personal skills required. Strong oral and written communication skills. Self-motivated and directed. Excellent organization and time management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments in an environment of constant change. Ability to handle stressful situations and provide conflict resolution. Able to maintain a professional level of diplomacy, confidentiality and tact.

Preferred Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in Human Resources or Disability Management from a recognized post-secondary institution is preferred. Work experience in a unionized hospital environment preferred.
