Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a health discipline is required; Master’s Degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Must have at least 8 – 10 years progressively responsible experience within a clinical care setting, five of which will have been in a supervisory/management level position. Certified in CPR necessary. Active annual registration with professional college required (where applicable). Please note: Travel is required, and may include the use of a personal vehicle. A standard driver’s abstract may also be required for use of corporate lease vehicles.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Strong clinical knowledge and skill in acute care nursing, and Continuing Care or relevant specialty. Proven skills in management, program leadership, operational planning. Strong organizational and conflict resolution skills. Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to work in a dynamic environment with competing priorities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to provide leadership and function as a team member. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Ability to be objective in decision making. Proven aptitude for career progression. Commitment to safe, effective and ethical patient care and work practices. Commitment to Covenant Health Mission, Vision and Values. Proven dependability and accountability. This position requires a leader who is a self-starter but also an adept collaborator able to lead by example and build on an existing strong team.


Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to travel occasionally to other COV rural sites as well as to Edmonton. Must have valid Alberta driver’s license.
