Baccalaureate Degree in Pharmacy required. Licensed or eligible for licensure with the Alberta College of Pharmacists.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years recent experience in a hospital pharmacy required. Must have at least three years previous leadership experience including direct supervision. Strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in a Windows environment required. Able to integrate and apply clinical knowledge in the day to day operation of the department. Demonstrated managerial competencies that include excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, problem solving, conflict resolution, analytical thinking, interpersonal and group management skills, change management, organization and project management skills. Must be able to maintain privacy, dignity, confidentiality and morale of all concerned.
Preferred Qualifications:
Post-graduate education (i.e. Doctor of Pharmacy, MBA, MHSA or hospital pharmacy residency). Familiarity with hospital pharmacy software an asset. Demonstrated optimism and enthusiasm about the Pharmacy program with commitment to continuous quality improvement. Demonstrated customer service approach to pharmacy staff and site programs.
