Doctoral degree in psychology from a CAP recognized program required. Registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists is required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of advanced individual, family counselling and treatment experience as a psychologist in a hospital setting. Equivalent education (Masters in Psychology) and experience (minimum years of experience) may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:Membership with the Psychologist Association of Alberta recommended. Experience in workshop presentations and staff development an asset. Ability to prioritize competing work demands in a fast paced environment. Ability to work with program colleagues within an interdisciplinary team approach and work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to effectively defuse crisis situations. Ability to interact with patients and complex families exhibiting variety of symptoms/behaviors.
