Doctoral degree in psychology from a CAP recognized program required. Registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists is required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counselling Psychology from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association(APA) accredited Program. Member of CAP (College of Alberta Psychologists) or eligible for registration. Interest and experience in working with a wide variety of adult and geriatric patients, including those with health concerns (e.g., cardiac events) and psychiatric concerns (e.g., schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, personality disorders). Advanced knowledge and skills in differential diagnosis. Experienced in conducting psychological assessments (e.g. psychodiagnostic, personality, neuropsychological/cognitive and capacity) with a variety of adult populations. Proficient in the administration, scoring, and interpretation of various psychological measures/questionnaires (e.g., WAIS-IV, WMS-IV, CVLT-3, etc). Experience in conducting individual and group therapy. Able to work within a team structure. Strong written and oral communication skills as evidenced in psychological reports.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum of 2 year experience in hospital/mental health setting Familiar with Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Experience in workshop presentations and staff development, Ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize competing work demands, Ability to work with program colleagues and work independently with minimal supervision, Familiar with the DSM – 5, Comfortable with the use of technology (i.e., via zoom platform), Proficient in the use of computers.
