Your Opportunity:
The Psychologist of the Misericordia Community Hospital Child Health Clinic works within the interprofessional team to provide individual, family and group pediatric psychological services. As a member of the interprofessional team the Psychologist provides advanced clinical practice services including assessment diagnosis, treatment and evaluation within established strategic priorities, standards, policies, procedures and guidelines. In addition, the Psychologist shares their knowledge and expertise with the interprofessional team, learners and the community through consultation and education.

Description: The Psychologist II provides psychological services involving assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation. The Psychologist II may work in a specialized area and/or coordinate daily work activities of the team. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications: Doctoral degree in psychology from a CAP recognized program required. Registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists is required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Previous pediatric experience providing psychosocial interventions (individual / family / group therapy) with children and families. Ability to administer and interpret relevant psychological assessments / instruments.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years pediatric experience providing psychosocial interventions (individual / family / group therapy) and assessments in an outpatient setting. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy certification. Role - specific Connect Care Training.
