Required Qualifications: High School diploma or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Must have at least one year experience working directly with residents living with chronic illnesses, cognitive impairments (such as dementia), physical disabilities, or age-related conditions that limit their independence. Candidates must have experience facilitating recreational programming in long term care, supportive living or assisted living. Must have demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications to support effective communication, documentation, and scheduling within the continuing care environment. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and an approach that is compassionate, patient and respectful. Must be eligible to obtain a valid Class 4 driver’s license, this must be clearly demonstrated this within the resume or cover letter.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with an electronic charting system, e.g. Connect Care is an asset.
