Required Qualifications: Baccalaureate in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation or a related field required. Registration with Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association is required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Superior interpersonal skills. Excellent communications skills. Must demonstrate fluency in both verbal and written English. Effective problem solving skills including analytical thinking and conflict resolution reasoning. Superior time management, planning and organizational skills, able to work independently. Ability to use computer programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel; working knowledge of RAI-MDS 2.0 preferred. Committed to working in a team environment. Knowledge of gerontology and functional issues relating to ageing.an asset.
Preferred Qualifications:One year previous experience as a Recreation Therapist in a continuing care/rehabilitation setting preferred.
