Required Qualifications: Baccalaureate in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation or a related field required. Registration with Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association is required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills. Must demonstrate initiative, creativity, and good judgement. Able to perform a variety of therapeutic interventions. Must demonstrate skills in decision making, problem solving and conflict management. Must adhere to Professional and Facility code of ethics. Must be physically capable of transferring, lifting and portering residents and equipment. Must be familiar with the operation of all RT equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience working in a rehabilitation setting preferred. Must have experience working with elderly or disabled individuals. Experience in hospital and community settings an asset.
