Description:

The Recruitment Assistant works collaboratively with various HR teams and operations leaders to provide administrative, process and systems support in the pursuit of great candidates to serve Covenant Health’s patients and residents. The Recruitment Assistant will liaise with clinical operations managers, screen applications and recommend candidates for interview, schedule interviews, complete reference checks as required, assist managers and successful candidates with the offer and onboarding processes, and research and investigate any issues brought forward by managers or clients and provide recommendations for resolution. The Recruitment Assistant completes commencement and transfer processes and actions on behalf of the manager, as appropriate. This position performs data entry to input and update applicant information in the Recruitment Management System (RMS) database and upholds confidentiality when handling applicant information. This position is non-unionized.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of a recognized Human Resources Diploma program required. (Equivalent education and/or experience may be considered) Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an Human Resources administration role required. Minimum 1-2 years related experience with high-volume recruitment. Experience with recruitment management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and online survey systems.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated excellence in customer service and continuous process improvement. Ability to prioritize workload, and monitor the details and quality of work, ensuring accuracy of information. Strong organizational and time management skills required. Knowledge of collective agreements and related legislation (e.g., Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act). Must be able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, exercise sound judgement, and be extremely flexible in managing multiple interruptions. Must be able to communicate effectively; written and verbal in a co-operative, respectful, and sensitive manner with a high level of professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a multi-unionized health care setting preferred. Experience using Taleo, PeopleSoft, and RedCap preferred.
