Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Three months of Operating Room experience required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills. Excellent assessment and organizational skills. Computer skills including experience with electronic charting (VAX) & Microsoft Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:Perioperative Nursing Course preferred. Consideration will be given to those who have completed their final nursing practicum in the Operating Room. Canadian Nursing Association (CNA) Certification in Peri-operative Nursing.
