Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Previous Emergency Department experience OR ICU/CCU experience OR Two years Medical/Surgical/Labor and Delivery experience required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Excellent assessment and organizational skills required. In this position, you will be on your feet for an extended period of time (both walking and standing), and you must be able to assist in transporting, lifting and positioning of patients. You will also be required to bend, lift, push, and pull equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:CTAS Triage experience preferred. Charge nurse experience preferred. Preference will be given to those with one or more of the following certifications: ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, PALS, and EPIC. Experience and ability to work with cardiac monitors preferred. Dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation of ECG’s preferred. Experience with Connect Care EHR an asset.
