Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. Additional Required Qualifications:Experience in at least one of the following departments is required: acute care, emergency, intensive care, operating room, obstetrics, continuing care, and psychiatry. Ability to work shift work and meet the physical demands of the job, and a willingness to learn new skills as required. If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses are also required: 1) CRNA Medication Administration Certificate - https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F and 2) NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification - https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0 PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $35.17/hour - $42.96/hour ($35.87/hour - $43.82/hour effective April 1, 2023). Upon being entered into the register of Registered Nurses, the rate of pay shall be adjusted to the rate of pay applicable to a Registered Nurse in accordance with AHS/UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.
Preferred Qualifications:Certification(s) in a relevant specialty area, charge nurse experience, past leadership training/experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in more than one of the following departments: acute care, emergency, intensive care, operating room, obstetrics, continuing care, and psychiatry and a willingness to learn new skills as required.
