Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses are also required: 1) CRNA Medication Administration Certificate - https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F 2) NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification - https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0 PLEASE NOTE: This posting is scheduled to close at 23:59 of the posting end date but may be filled earlier if a Regular Employee who holds a position within this unit/program/office expresses their interest in this vacancy by 23:59 on the 5th calendar day following the posting date, under LOU #25. Additional Required Qualifications:At least one year of recent (within the last two years) acute, inpatient surgery or orthopedic surgery required.
Preferred Qualifications:Charge Nurse or leadership training an asset. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong team work and interpersonal skills. Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills. Excellent assessment and organizational skills. Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC) Line education an asset. Negative pressure wound therapy education as asset.
