Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of five (5) years current ambulatory nursing experience required. Experience with insulin pumps required. Insulin pump certified required. Three (3) years of recognized and current diabetes education experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:Member of the Canadian Diabetes Association (Educators Section) preferred. Certified Diabetes Educator preferred. Adult Education Course completion desired. Proven competency in preparation of teaching materials for presentation with groups and individuals.
