Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical/emergency nursing experience. Strong interpersonal, stress management and conflict management skills. Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills. Excellent assessment, organizational and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Completion of a Critical Care certificate or OPACCA (Critical Care Orientation Program) with 1 year of recent adult critical care experience. Advanced Cardiac Life Support. If Critical Care orientation/certificate is needed: CH provides RNs with an opportunity to be enrolled in OPACCA. The unit will be responsible for course cost and salary obligations. The candidate will be required to sign a 12 month Return for Service commitment agreement, as outlined in the UNA Collective Agreement.
