Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. Additional Required Qualifications:Current CARNA registration. Current CPR (BCLS-HCP). Minimum 1 year of current related acute care experience. Ability to perform consistently in a highly organized and rapid moving environment. Ability to prioritize & collaborate within the multidisciplinary team. Ability to stand scrubbed for many hours and to meet the physical demands of the position such as pushing, pulling and lifting. Ability to demonstrate written and verbal communications skills that promote respect and a positive team environment. Demonstrates advanced problem solving skills integrating critical thinking and good judgment. Agreeance to travel to appropriate site/campus and clinical practice areas. Must meet the entrance requirements of the educational institution. Computer skills including experience in Microsoft Office Suite & Connect Care is an asset. This position requires a 1-year return to service agreement. You must successfully complete all portions of the Peri-operative Course at MacEwan University, including the OR clinical preceptor portion in order to maintain a position in the OR.
