Graduate of a RN or RPN program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the CRPNA and/or CRNA required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. If you have not practiced as a RN/RPN within the last 5 years, completion of the following free courses are also required: 1) CRNA Medication Administration Certificate - https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F 2) NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification - https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of one of the following programs will be considered: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing. Diploma or bachelor’s degree in nursing with considerable experience in mental health assessment and provision of CBT, DBT and Solution Focused informed care. Certification in CBT and DBT training. Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Non-Violent Crisis Intervention. Minimum of 3 years of relevant mental health experience, preferably in perinatal mental health community setting. Critical thinking skills, working knowledge on the management of concurrent disorders, mental health disorders in the perinatal period and medical co-morbidities are required. Advanced knowledge and skill in the areas of evidenced-based assessment and treatment of mental illness and addiction is required. Demonstrated ability to work well in a team and seek consultation when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:Connect Care trained in Ambulatory Clinic role. At least 3 years' experience in Women's health in acute care setting.
