Graduate of a RN or RPN program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the CRPNA and/or CRNA required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. If you have not practiced as a RN/RPN within the last 5 years, completion of the following free courses are also required: 1) CRNA Medication Administration Certificate - https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F 2) NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification - https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0
Additional Required Qualifications:Recent Psychiatric inpatient experience (within the last 2 years) OR Two years minimum outpatient/community mental health experience required. Excellent assessment and organizational skills required. Expert application of complex mental health assessment tools and suicidality screening tools required. Excellent knowledge and understanding of psychiatric illness, psychotropic medications, DSM-V and the Mental Health act required.
Preferred Qualifications:Recent experience (within the last 2 years) in a high-volume, Urban Emergency department. Experience with electronic health records (Connect Care).
