Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate. St. Therese Villa is a designated supportive living facility that serves over 200 residents in southern Alberta. It is a multicultural site designed to meet and support resident wellness and independence while providing quality care in a supportive and caring environment. The facility includes 124 private studio suites, 16 couple’s suites and 60 secure dementia suites, each with a private bathroom and shower. Description:

Reporting to the Site Administrator, the Resident Care Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations including direct supervision and management of nursing staff. This role interacts with physicians, Home care case manager, other staff, and other departments and interdisciplinary team members on a daily basis and provides clinical leadership and support to resident care. The position facilitates and fosters interdisciplinary participation in resident care activities and coaches, mentors, motivates and empowers clinical staff. The Resident Care Manager will participate and collaborate with Site Administrator in monitoring operational budgets and operational planning at the site level. The Resident Care Manager creates a climate of interdepartmental respect and collaboration, and adheres and models the Covenant Health mission, vision and values. The Resident Care Manager in collaboration with Resident Care supervisors is accountable for the daily management of units and their efficient function and performance, and ensuring appropriate staffing levels to support quality care. The responsibilities of this position are focused around three critical aspects of care and service: People and teams: Quality and safety :Efficiency Resources and people management This position also plays role in Leadership, Human Resources (attendance & ability management, collective agreement, staff & team development, recruitment & selection), Performance Measurement & Process Improvement, Patient Relations, Quality and Patient Safety, Emergency Disaster Management & OH&S. Use sound judgement initiative & creativity to resolve issues. This position alerts the Site Administrator to issues with unit and/or unit staff, issues that extend beyond the scope of the position, or for advice and direction.

Required Qualifications:

Graduate of a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse program. Active registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA) and/or the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.

Current Licensure or Membership with professional body.


Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory/management experience in continuing care desired. Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse preferred. Masters degree in Nursing or leadership preferred.
