Required Qualifications: Completion of Grade 10 or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and perform repetitive movements for the duration of your shift. Physically capable to lift, push and pull up to 22 lbs of force. A current and clear Criminal Records Check Form and a Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date. Ability to follow oral and written directions. Ability to cooperate with other employees and demonstrate teamwork. Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis. Must be able to accomplish all responsibilities with little supervision. Ability to work in an infectious disease outbreak environment (including entering resident’s rooms/households) and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Preferred Qualifications:A minimum of 1 year of previous experience performing environmental cleaning duties in a hospital or institution is preferred. Previous knowledge and application of WHMIS is preferred.
