Graduate of a recognized and accredited school of Respiratory Therapy program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration and member in good standing with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required. Proven Problem solving and critical thinking skills required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Excellent organizational and time management skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:Active membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) preferred. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training preferred. Two years of current acute care experience in AICU, ER, NICU, Medicine and Surgical Units preferred. Completion of Trec and Trac training preferred. Additional courses in Smoking Cessation, Patient Education, Care Maps, Student Preceptoring and area specific training preferred.
