Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager of Spiritual Care Seniors (Urban and Rural) & Indigenous Care Liaisons, the Secretary provides a full range of advanced administrative support to the Manager, Chaplains, Indigenous Care Liaisons, and the department. This position is the central point of contact for the Spiritual Care and Indigenous Care departments who liaise with managers, chaplains, other programs and departments, volunteers, and external service provider partners and leaders. The position provides support in managing Chaplain and Indigenous Care Liaison schedules at multiple sites; arranging meetings, appointments, and interviews; preparing and distributing business documents and reports; fulfilling time entry and AP functions including reconciliation; providing administrative leadership for education days; coordinating travel plans; tracking and reconciling grant funding; and supporting strategic initiatives. The Secretary II performs these tasks in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 41 Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications: One year related post secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:2 – 3 years related experience in an administrative role. Ability to work in a confidential, high pressure environment with competing priorities and deadlines. Displays commitment to COV mission, vision, and values. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Must display a positive, professional demeanor and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in a health care environment. Previous experience with e-People, Markview, RMS, or comparable in-house computer interfaces.
