Required Qualifications:

One year related post secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Must have a related post-secondary certificate or an equivalent combination of education and experience Must have one to two years related healthcare secretarial support experience. Must be proficient using MS Office Suite and other computer applications. Must be comfortable learning new computer applications. Must be capable of working in a busy office environment and managing multiple priorities while displaying a positive, professional demeanour. Ability to capture health care setting meeting deliberations concisely and accurately through minute taking. Ability in managing multiple stakeholder calendars, room bookings, meeting organization and invites including producing agendas, powerpoint presentations and minutes. Independent: Maintenance and scheduling of calendars. Book meetings and appointment for the Program Manager according to current work priorities and calendar/ schedule informed responses to day-to-day inquiries. Establish work priorities. Procedures and standards independently to achieve results. Distribution of communications to appropriate individual(s) and/or groups/(s). Collection of relevant materials and approvals or meetings for the program. Coordinate special functions and projects as assigned. Screening telephone and personal inquiries, complaints, or concerns and communicating these.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability in stakeholder RELATIONSHIPS/CONTACTS: Internal; Interacts on a regular basis with the Program Manager’s and staff from their program. Interacts on a daily basis with program leaders, physicians and other departments, program and staff. External; Interacts with clinical care and service counterparts at Alberta Health Services, external partners and other outside agencies and clients as required.
