Baccalaureate degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, arts, social sciences, business administration, or related field. Combination of education and work experience would be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Five to seven years’ experience planning, implementing, and evaluating communications strategies and advising senior leaders or managing significant projects and initiatives. Experience in issues management, crisis communications and media relations responding to issues which may affect the image and reputation of an organization. Extensive experience in conceptualizing, researching, developing, and creating communications materials including communications strategies and tactics including; communication plans, tactical plans, news articles, social media plans/posts, digital/web-based communications (including photography) and other written communications. Proven project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, budgets, team dynamics and multiple stakeholders. Experience in project management. Proven excellence as a writer for a variety of platforms. Proven ability to manage team and services processes and quality assurance. Internal communications expertise and proficiency in working with electronic and digital communications vehicles. Digital and print publication experience. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, including potential competitive and conflicting priorities and time pressures. Ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced, change affected environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare and/or public sector environment experience preferred. Experience with community engagement preferred. Experience planning for and writing within a digital environment including social media and web preferred. Experience with video production/editing preferred.
