Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, arts or social sciences required. Combination of work experience and education may be considered. A minimum of five years of experience planning, implementing and evaluating communications strategies and supporting senior leaders or managing significant projects and initiatives required. Experience leading communications for complex health care or public sector organizations with multiple stakeholders preferred.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience managing large-scale projects that impact a broad range of cross-functional teams, from identifying business needs through to implementation and delivery. Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage timelines and tasks, including handling competitive and conflicting priorities and time pressures. Ability to think strategically, with proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. Expertise in internal communications and proficiency in working with print and electronic communications vehicles. Ability to assess issues and their strategic impact both internally and externally. Experience with stakeholder and/or community engagement is an asset.
