Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, arts or social sciences required. Combination of work experience and education may be considered. A minimum of five years of experience developing, implementing and evaluating editorial and content strategies. Experience with stakeholder and/or community engagement required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Clear understanding and proven experience with an integrated communications approach. Thorough understanding of content strategy best practices, including journey mapping, research requirements, on-page SEO and content hierarchies. Demonstrated facilitation skills. Proven experience advocating for content by presenting content strategies and holding workshops with stakeholders (internal and external). Experience planning, implementing and evaluating communications strategies and in supporting senior leaders or managing significant projects and initiatives required. Advanced writing, communication and editorial skills. Proven experience creating content social media, video scripts and speeches. Internal communications expertise and familiarity and proficiency in working with electronic communications vehicles required. Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage timelines and tasks, including potential competitive and conflicting priorities and time pressures. Digital and print publication management experience (including writing and editing) required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading communications for complex health care or public sector organizations with multiple stakeholders preferred. Ability to think strategically with proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Proven project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, budgets, team dynamics and multiple stakeholders. Ability to assess issues and their strategic impact internally and externally. Understanding of strategic planning processes.
