Your Opportunity:
Covenant is seeking a strategic, collaborative and innovative professional to join a team of self-driven, passionate and high-energy digital communications specialists to provide support to help shape Covenant’s digital transformation. Reporting to the Manager, Web and Digital Communications, the Senior Advisor, Web and Digital is an integral member of a team providing leadership to the organization’s internal and external digital communications efforts. Using strategic thinking, consultation and teamwork, the senior advisor contributes to a variety of digital projects and initiatives to advance the strategic directions of the organization and foster a digitally savvy culture. The position requires strong project management, change management, and problem-solving skills and the ability to work with a wide range of technical and non-technical professionals to help turn business requirements and user needs into engaging online experiences. As the digital subject matter expert on key projects and initiatives, the senior advisor provides leadership, direction, planning, development, and implementation of technical solutions to support organizational priorities within Covenant’s digital ecosystem. Description:
Key responsibilities include: Provides operational and project leadership in driving the design and development of Covenant’s digital user experiences. Oversees project management development cycle for digital platforms and coordinates scoping, planning, scheduling, and delivery of projects. Leads and/or supports the planning and implementation of digital solutions to maintain and enhance online technologies, products and assets, including websites, intranets, SharePoint and Teams sites. Adopts and champions a user-centred design approach to optimize digital products around the needs of internal and external stakeholders. Contributes to digital governance processes to ensure smooth operations and maximize impact of digital at Covenant. Monitors Covenant’s digital channels and products and enforces governance. Advises the team on using content management systems and helps ensure standards and processes for publishing and web accessibility are met. Provides consultation and leadership to client areas, leaders, and colleagues to define requests, translating business goals into appropriate user-centric digital assets and experiences. Works collaboratively with team members to develop digital products and implement digital communications strategies and/or tactics. Configures, maintains, and optimizes various digital tools, including analytics, user behavior, site performance and optimization, web surveys, live chat, email and marketing automation software. Evaluates performance of digital platforms and makes recommendations for continuous improvement. Translates analytics into tangible recommendations and meaningful actions to improve performance, UX, findability, and searchability. Provides subject matter expertise to help build a data-driven digital team.

A degree or diploma in web development or design, computer sciences, information technology, management information systems, business, digital marketing, communications, or related field. Minimum five years’ experience leading, planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining digital solutions. Demonstrated experience with web design, front- and back-end development, and content management systems. In-depth understanding and experience defining information architecture for content within an ecosystem of websites, microsites, and intranets. Ability to create and/or adapt design, including wireframes and mock-ups, based on complex requirements, as well as information from web analytics and user research. Strong project management skills to lead and coordinate all phases of digital development, ensuring project alignment with business objectives, constructing detailed work plans, achieving milestones, and communicating results. Comprehensive understanding of web-based communication principles and best practices, including user-centred methodologies, web accessibility and usability, responsive design, and SEO. Proven experience working with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio and other web analytics tools.

Proven ability to engage with diverse technical and non-technical groups spanning all levels in the organization. A self-motivated and directed team player with a proactive, show initiative mindset. Strong commitment to personal development and participation in continuing education activities to enhance knowledge of digital marketing trends, best practices, and new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, & JavaScript. Drupal, OpenText, SharePoint developer, and Power Automate experience. Google Analytics certification. Experience with digital project management methodologies. Experience with usability, accessibility, & behavioral tracking tools. Demonstrated awareness of trends in digital communications and technology, particularly AI. Commitment to continuous improvement & results-oriented leadership. Healthcare and/or public sector environment experience.
